I read somewhere I can watch HD films via my Xbox360. I've d/l a HD film and it's a 10gig .MKV file. Is that right? What do I burn it with? And onto what? It won't fit onto a Dual Layer DVD. Or should I have got something else?

Best thing is to put it on a 16gb usb drive and run it from that through the xbox. Can pick up a 16gb one for about £25 nowadays.

Or on ebay they are about £15 if you can find one.

Xbox can only play WMV HD movie files IIRC. I used to store them all on a 500GB external hard drive connected through the USB port. Make sure the drive is formatted to FAT32 though.
Unfortunately, the 360 can't do MKV at all.

This will convert an MKV into a 360 friendly MP4 and split into files less then 4GB. It's quick as it only fettles the audio.
Not as good as it would be if you could just play an MKV but tworks.

There is an update now available on the newsgroups that adds MKV support for the 360.
